An overdue catch-up, some pony news and a little Christmas shopping! 🐴🎄

Hello!

Well, this is embarrassing.

I've just realised that the last time I wrote to you was in FEBRUARY. Yes, February. Eight whole months ago. I think that might be a new record, even for me!

So first of all, a HUGE apology for disappearing off the face of the earth. I haven't been abducted by aliens, not have I run away to join the circus.

The truth is, life has been rather busy.

As some of you know, as well as writing my Riverdale Pony Stories, I write psychological thrillers under the pen name A J McDine. And this year, the thrillers have been keeping me very busy indeed.

I've published two new books and am currently racing towards the finish line with another, which I'm hoping to publish in time for Christmas.

And when I haven't been writing, Adrian and I have been indulging our love of walking. We've spent a wonderful week in the Lake District, where we finally conquered Scafell Pike, England's highest mountain. My legs have just about forgiven me, although my walking boots did not live to tell the tale...

But enough about me. I have some rather lovely Riverdale news to share.

A little something for the pony-mad reader in your life...

I've set up my very own Etsy shop!

A few years ago, I had a print run done of the first three books in the series, The Lost Pony of Riverdale, Against all Hope and Into the Storm, and I've decided it's high time these lovely paperbacks found some new homes.

So I've opened the Riverdale Pony Stories Etsy shop, where you can buy signed copies of all three books directly from me.

And with Christmas creeping ever closer (sorry, I know!), I thought they'd make rather lovely presents for any pony-mad youngsters in your life.

After all, what could be nicer than finding a signed pony book under the Christmas tree?

It would be so nice to send a few Riverdale books off to new homes this Christmas. And if you know anyone who might be interested, please do pass on the link. I'd be enormously grateful!

Visit my Etsy store

The whole series, plus my other pony books, including the Mill Farm Stables series, is still available through Amazon. You can check out all the books at my Amazon author page here.

Will there be another Riverdale adventure?

Well, never say never!

Although my thrillers have taken centre stage recently, Poppy, Cloud and the rest of the gang still have a very special place in my heart.

I'd love to return to Riverdale one day. In fact, the thought of writing another pony adventure just for the sheer fun of it is rather appealing.

So watch this space!

In the meantime, if you're missing Riverdale, don't forget that Saving Grace is still available as a FREE ebook.

If you haven't read Saving Grace yet, it's a short Riverdale adventure in which Poppy discovers a badly injured filly on the moor.

With Grace facing an uncertain future and an enormous vet bill to pay, Poppy and her friends decide to organise a fundraising gymkhana.

But will they raise enough money to give Grace the second chance she deserves?

You can download it here.

That's all from me for now.

I promise I won't leave it another eight months before I write again. (You have my permission to tell me off if I do!)

Thank you, as always, for reading my books. It really does mean the world to me.

Lots of love,

Amanda x

P.S. If you know someone who loves ponies and books, please do share my Etsy shop with them. Word of mouth is worth its weight in gold to an independent author. I'd be so grateful. ❤️
