Last week the most amazing thing happened...

Hello!

I'm just calling by to wish you a very happy Valentine's Day for tomorrow and to share two pieces of AMAZING news with you.

The first, and most exciting news, (for me, anyway!) is that Saving Grace, my Riverdale novella, was chosen as this month's free gift in the brilliant PONY Magazine.

To say I'm thrilled is an understatement. I think this is probably the coolest thing to have happened since I began writing fiction eleven years ago.

This month, 20,000 pony-mad readers from across the UK will get their first taster of the Riverdale Pony Stories. Hopefully many of them will go on to become fans!

Saving Grace may only be a quick read, but it packs a punch. In the book, Poppy finds an abandoned filly on the moor. Hit by a car and left for dead, the filly - Grace - faces an uncertain future, unless Poppy, Scarlett and the gang can find a way to save her.

I am the first indie author PONY Magazine has collaborated with in this way, which in itself is a massive achievement. It's definitely a career highlight.

PONY Magazine is on sale now if you want to grab yourself this extra special edition.

My second piece of exciting news is that the new-look paperback edition of Into the Storm, the third adventure in the Riverdale Pony Stories, will soon be available at a bookshop near you.

You'll probably remember I had the first two books in the series, The Lost Pony of Riverdale and Against all Hope, re-edited and gave them fantastic new covers last year. Now it's the turn of Into the Storm, in which Poppy gets more than she bargained for when she wins a trekking holiday to the Forest of Dean, including a bumbling, hairy cob with a wall eye and a stubborn streak...

I wanted you to be the very first to see the new-look cover. I would love to know what you think!

I'm planning to work my way through the rest of the series when time and funds allow, giving them all fresh new covers to fit the new look.

Meanwhile, here are the first three, together for the first time, looking rather smart, I hope you'll agree!

Into the Storm is at the printers as I write. I'll let you know as soon as this fab new edition goes on sale.

I've had a few emails recently asking whether there'll be a 12th Riverdale adventure. The answer is undoubtedly yes, but probably not this year.

Some of you know I also write psychological thrillers under a pen name and I've taken the decision to concentrate on them in 2023. But I'm sure I'll be back to Riverdale some time next year.

In the meantime, have you read all eleven books? If you're not sure, just check out the list at the bottom of this email. And if you have read them all, I would LOVE to know which was your favourite and why.

Finally, don't forget that the audiobook of The Midnight Pony and Other Stories is out now.

This three-in-one collection of chapter books for younger readers, brilliantly brought to life by narrator Danielle Cohen, includes The Midnight Pony, The Pony of Tanglewood Farm and Juno's Foal.

You can listen to the sample here and if you have an Audible subscription you can listen to the book for free.

I'll be in touch when the new-look Into the Storm is out. In the meantime I hope you have a very happy Valentine's Day tomorrow with the ones you love, be they family, friends or furries!

Happy reading!

Amanda x
