Coming to a bookstore near you!

Hello!

I have some fantastic Riverdale news to share with you today and I hope you're going to be as excited as me.

[Which might not actually be possible, as I am stupidly excited about this, as you can probably tell!]

Anyway, over the last few months I have been hatching a dastardly plan to get the Riverdale books into traditional bookshops.

Because I'm an indie author, my pony books have only been available through Amazon... until now.

Because that's all set to change.

From April 1st the first two books in the Riverdale series, The Lost Pony of Riverdale and Against All Hope, will be coming to a bookstore near you (as long as you're in the UK, at any rate).

And no, that's not an April Fool's joke. They really are!

To mark this momentous occasion, I decided to give the books a completely new look and, with the help of the super-talented designer Stuart Bache of Books Covered, they now have amazing new covers.

Here's the cover reveal of Lost Pony...

And a drum roll, please, for the new-look Against All Hope...

I still love the original black and white covers my husband Adrian designed for me, but we decided - after a mooch around the children's section of our local Waterstones - that the new paperback covers needed to be even more striking, vibrant and sparkly if they were to catch the eye of a new generation of young pony-mad readers.

I absolutely love the new look. What do you think?

At the moment we're concentrating on the first two books, but we plan to work our way through the series, publishing two more every six months, which means Into the Storm and Redhall Riders have a provisional release date this October.

Meanwhile Lost Pony and Against All Hope are currently with the printer and I hope to get my hands on the first physical copies later this month. Exciting times indeed!

Since I last wrote, I have made a start on the new Rverdale book and am now 15,000 words into the first draft.

Much head scratching, pen chewing and vacant gazing goes on when I'm writing, and it's been no exception with Book Eleven.

After a gap of eighteen months [while I've been concentrating on other writing projects] it has been great to be back in Waterby with Poppy, Cloud, Scarlett, Red and the rest of the Riverdale gang.

All our favourite characters are back in the latest book, with a few new faces to get to know.

With a bit of luck, I should finish the first draft in a month or so but, as ever, I'll keep you posted.

Speaking of which, I had better crawl back into my writing cave if I'm to meet my deadline.

So it's goodbye from me for now. Don't forget to let me know what you think about the new Riverdale covers when you get a chance. I'd love to know what you think.

Happy reading!

Amanda
