COMING SOON: A brand new Riverdale adventure!
Hello! I think May is probably my favourite time of year. Apple blossom, blackbirds singing their hearts out and warmer days are the perfect antidote to a long, grey winter. May means bluebells and lighter evenings. Much-needed time in the garden. And - most importantly - not having to write wearing seven layers of clothes with an electric fire warming my toes!! Just as well, because I have spent many hours at my desk in the corner of our dining room since I last emailed you. I have been writing another Riverdale story. It hasn't got a title yet, and I am probably about two-thirds of the way through the first draft, but it's shaping up nicely. There are two very important things you need to know about Poppy's latest adventure: It is a novella, not a full-length book, and... It will be COMPLETELY FREE to anyone who signs up to my mailing list. And that includes you, lovely readers, because you already have! Once it's ready I will give you a link and you will be able to download the novella without spending a penny or a cent or a euro. How fantastic is that??!!
I hope to be able to give you an update very soon. When I haven't been writing, Dobbie and I have been trying our hand at some very low level dressage. There is lots to learn but I think we are improving! We have also enjoyed some lovely hacks through the Kent countryside. Here we are, mooching through the woods near the stables last Friday. They are absolutely beautiful, especially this time of year, and actually rather magical. The stuff of fairytales! Anyway, Dobbie was great and we even jumped a fallen branch. Don’t be over impressed - it was only about a foot high - but still!
